Acceptance

By using Ordo you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Ordo is

Ordo is a personal app for planning your schedule, practices, tasks, and journaling, with an optional AI companion. It is operated by an individual, Aung Thein Sein, based in Virginia, United States (the "operator", "we", or "us"). We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Ordo for that purpose.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, to use Ordo. If you are under 18, you may use Ordo only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Pre-release versions

From time to time Ordo may offer optional pre-release versions, for example through Apple's TestFlight. Pre-release versions are for testing and evaluation only. They may contain errors, may change or be withdrawn at any time, and may lose or corrupt data. Please do not rely on a pre-release version as your only record of anything important.

Your account

You sign in with an email and password so your data can sync. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity under your account. Let us know at support@useordoapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

Cost

Ordo is free. Every feature is included at no charge, and no payment is collected. There is no subscription and nothing to buy.

We may add an optional paid plan in the future. If we do, we will show its price and terms clearly before you buy, nothing will be charged without your explicit purchase through Apple, and any subscription would renew and be managed through your Apple Account under Apple's standard rules. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, your statutory rights, including any right to withdraw, would apply.

Your content is yours

You keep all rights to what you create in Ordo: your practices, events, tasks, and journal. You grant Ordo only the permissions needed to store, sync, display, and process that content to run the app, including sending the relevant parts to our AI provider when you use the companion. Ordo does not claim ownership of your content, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train AI models.

The companion is an assistant, not an authority

The companion can be wrong, incomplete, biased, or mistimed, as any AI can. Review its replies and suggestions before relying on them. You confirm any change before it is saved, you use the companion at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for what you choose to keep and for any decision or action you take based on it. The companion is not a professional service and does not provide medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.

Voice input

Some parts of Ordo let you speak instead of type. Voice is optional and starts only when you tap the microphone. Your speech is transcribed to text on your device using Apple's speech recognition; Ordo does not record or store your audio. Once your words are text, they are treated exactly like text you typed, including being tidied and acted on by the companion as described above, so the same "assistant, not an authority" caution applies: review what was transcribed before relying on or saving it. Transcription accuracy depends on Apple's on-device recognition and your device, and we do not warrant that it will be correct.

The morning briefing is informational only

When enabled, the morning briefing may include world data such as weather, daylight, stock-market figures, and a global news headline, composed into text by the same AI processor as the companion. This data is sourced from third parties, may be delayed or inaccurate, and may be unavailable. Market figures show the last close and are informational only. Nothing in the briefing is financial, investment, or trading advice, and you must not rely on it for financial decisions. As with the companion, the briefing's text can be wrong or mistimed, and you use it at your own risk.

Safety

Ordo is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away; in the US you can call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The companion is not a substitute for professional or emergency help.

Acceptable use

Use Ordo for your own planning. Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Ordo or the services it relies on, and do not use the companion to generate unlawful or harmful content or to scrape or abuse the AI endpoints.

Availability and changes

Ordo is still evolving, so features may change, pause, or be removed. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will update the date above and surface material changes in the app.

Third-party services

Ordo relies on services from Anthropic (the Claude companion), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), Apple, and Expo. Ordo is not responsible for the availability, acts, or omissions of those services, and your use of features that depend on them is also subject to their own terms and policies.

Your data and backups

Ordo is a planning tool, not a backup service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of your data, including across devices. You are responsible for keeping your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. If you are a consumer, this does not exclude our responsibility for loss we cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill.

Disclaimer of warranties

Ordo is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Ordo will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free, that the companion’s output will be accurate or suitable, or that the app will meet your needs.

If you are a consumer, nothing here removes rights the law gives you. Where the law guarantees that Ordo is of satisfactory quality, matches how we describe it, and is fit for what it is meant to do, that guarantee still applies, and the "as is" wording above does not override it.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence, which these Terms do not affect.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Ordo and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the app or the companion, even if advised of the possibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Ordo and its operator for all claims relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use Ordo in the twelve months before the claim, which may be zero, or USD 50.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ordo and its operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use or misuse of the app, the content you create, or your violation of these Terms, any law, or any third-party right.

If you are a consumer, this applies only where a claim arises from your own breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of Ordo, or content you had no right to create, and only to the extent the loss was actually caused by you. It does not affect your mandatory rights.

Ending your use

You can stop using Ordo and delete your account and data at any time from Profile. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated or if needed to protect the service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, continue to apply after your use ends.

Disputes and governing law

If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@useordoapp.com so we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and you and the operator agree to the courts located in Virginia for any dispute not resolved informally. There is no mandatory arbitration and no class-action waiver in these Terms.

Nothing in this section takes away the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you keep the benefit of the consumer-protection rules that apply where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country. If we bring a claim against you and you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, we will do so only in the courts of the country where you live.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Ordo about the app. We may update these Terms; when we do, we will update the date above and surface material changes in the app, and continuing to use Ordo after an update means you accept it. If a change materially and negatively affects you and you are a consumer, you may reject it by closing your account before it takes effect, at no charge.
